The people of Michigan need principled leadership in Lansing to keep Michigan moving forward as a great place to live, work, raise a family, and start a business. That's why I'm running for Michigan's 80th House District. The 80th District includes East Grand Rapids, Cascade Township and Kentwood and parts of Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Township.
Government's responsibility is to serve the people, not the other way around (something our elected leaders sometimes seem to forget). Rather than pursuing policies that protect freedom and foster prosperity and success, they often pursue policies that threaten our liberty, prosperity, and future.
We can do better. Regardless of the problems we face, I am committed to respecting liberty, and recognizing that the creativity and determination of our people and non-government organizations (businesses, churches, associations) are often able to offer better solutions than a top-down one-size-fits-all freedom-crushing government approach.
This means that I am committed to reducing unnecessary government regulation and overreach, spending, taxes, and barriers to business formation and growth.
With experienced, principled leadership in Lansing, we can make Michigan even better. I hope you will join me by voting, volunteering and making a contribution.
